1. What you pay for
When you subscribe to Starter, Team, Business or Enterprise, monthly or yearly, you pay for access to the plan for the whole billing period, not for each spec page read, each package reviewed or each export made. Access is yours from the moment the payment goes through until the period ends, whether you use it every day or not at all. For that reason payments are final once the period has started.
2. Charges we never refund
- You changed your mind after subscribing
- You did not use the service, or used less of it than you expected
- You forgot to cancel before a renewal
- A renewal went through after one or more failed payment attempts
- You picked the wrong plan or the wrong billing period
- The unused part of a period after you cancel
- AI output that did not match what you expected, since every register row is meant to be reviewed against the spec as our terms of service explain
- Files that could not be read, such as scanned spec books with no text layer or damaged PDFs
Before subscribing you can see the product in the one-time demo and compare plans on the pricing page.
3. The only exceptions
- A duplicate charge, meaning you were charged twice for the same subscription and the same period
- A proven unauthorized charge, reported to us within 14 days of the charge and supported by records, such as a bank statement and the details of the card holder
- A total failure of the service, meaning you could not use the service at all, you reported it to us at the time it happened and we did not resolve it
4. What a refund covers
A refund under these exceptions is limited to the affected charge. It goes back to the original payment method used for that charge, and we cannot send it to another card, account or person.
5. What is not a duplicate charge
A renewal at the start of a new period is not a duplicate charge, and neither is a payment collected after earlier failed attempts for the same period. The price difference charged when you move to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing is also not a duplicate charge.
6. Send a request by email
Write to [email protected] within 14 days of the charge. Include the email address of the account, the date and amount of the charge, the last four digits of the card and a short description of what happened. We review every request against our records and answer in writing.
7. Cancelling stops future renewals
You can cancel at any time from your account. Cancelling stops future renewals only, it does not return the amount already paid, and you keep full access until the end of the period you paid for. Your projects stay readable and exportable, so you can take the submittal log, transmittals and closeout records with you.
8. Contact us before your bank
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first. Most billing questions are answered with a single email. Opening a chargeback without contacting us first breaches our terms of service and leads to the account being closed.
9. Records we keep
To handle requests and disputes we keep records of each payment, renewal and failed attempt, the plan and period purchased, sign-in history, project activity on the account and the acceptance of our terms at signup. These records are handled as described in our privacy policy.
10. Questions
Any question about billing or this policy goes to [email protected]. Answers to common plan questions are also in the submittal software FAQ and on the contact page.
